I have never really understood the gender binary. I view my own gender as more of a performance which I can switch up and play with, sort of like a doll. I don't care what "gender" my clothing is, I pair wifebeaters with skirts and lace tops with basketball shorts because I like to play dress up!! My gender on the male-female scale is rarely a conscious thought, and I feel closer to a doll than I do a man or a woman.

There doesn't seem to be much of a distinction between real people, objects, and fictional characters in my mind. As such, I find myself similarly attached to all three. I am aware that only real people can reciprocate this attachment, which makes my other relationships feel safer in a way, as these relationships take place largely in my imagination.

I think the best explanation I've found for his existence is the modern-day notion of a tulpa, but I never really "created" him, he sort of just showed up one day. He's been a voice in my head since middle school, and I like having him in there, even though he's usually mean to me, because he's so humorous it hardly even feels insulting anymore.
